ACC’s mission is to support the development and implementation of programs designed to preserve the cultures of indigenous peoples, native flora and fauna species and the natural environment that gave them life. We will research native cultures and different flora and fauna around the globe to develop programs that educate the public about the subjects of our research.

We are currently working on an extensive program involving the Pemón in Canaima National Park in Venezuela. We are presently in the process of documenting their culture through a documentary film, attaining other important documents / archives, such as historical photographs, anthropology books and other texts related to the Pemón. Our projects include, but are not limited to, researching and building / operating a cultural centre based in one of the Pemón communities. During that process we will look to create libraries in surrounding Pemón villages. Our activities will not only preserve native culture and support native peoples own access to their heritage but also educate the general public about indigenous peoples around the world and flora/fauna found in various lands.

ACC will raise money to fund its conservation, preservation and educational activities. The funds the organization raises will initially be used to build Project Kamarakoto. The organization will have control and discretion over the use of these funds through its specific projects and initiatives. The organization may collaborate with other non-profit organizations that also work to preserve and protect indigenous cultures and flora/fauna. However, ACC will not solicit funds on behalf of any particular foreign organization.

Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code provides tax exemptions to groups organized and operated exclusively for charitable, religious, scientific, literary and educational purposes. The word “charitable”, as used in Section 501(c)(3), has been broadly defined to mean, “providing services beneficial to the public interest”. The activities of ACC clearly benefit the public interest. Through our research, conservation and preservation activities, the organization is helping to protect native culture and endangered environments. Additionally, the conservation and preservation activities of ACC provide the public with insight into indigenous culture.

The activities of ACC also serve an educational purpose. Creating a documentary film, libraries and cultural centres not only educates the public about native cultures and endangered flora and fauna but also enables indigenous cultures to thrive. Treasury Reg. 1.501(c)(3)-1(d)(3) defines “educational” as instructing the public on subjects useful to the individual and beneficial to the community. Educating the public about indigenous peoples, etc. benefits the recipients of the information Angel Conservation Corp. attained Section 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status due to its activities as they serve both charitable and educational purposes.
